The
early childhood years and having good
mental health is a time when
so many of the foundations of a child's life are being set down.
I've always had an interest in
mental health particularly children, social and emotional development,
so when we saw the expressions of interest in at
Early Childhood Australia, I was interested to put our hand up and apply for the to be a pilot program to be part of the pilot program.
So that any of us who are working with families, whether it's in the
early childhood setting or in the more

early childhood professionals and the parents, come up with some sort of shared plan about how they're going to help the child manage their everyday life.
And
so, educators, families, all feel more confident about seeking help around
mental health when the language is there, when it's become part of the everyday language at the
early childhood service.
Early childhood mental health encompasses a child's experience of a variety of emotions,
so you want them to be feeling good now, and to be feeling secure in their relationships in order to be having an okay time here and now.
She is skilled at discovering and implementing innovative and efficient communication strategies
so early childhood communities can engage with KidsMatter, share positive
mental health messages and participate in collaborative learning.
And
so a child with a
mental health difficulty in a group setting needs more support, needs more mindfulness from an

I liked that it was a preventative strategy,
