Our objective is to widen the reach and appeal of the methods to scholars who do not possess the same deep technical backgrounds as the developers and
early implementers of the methods.
Some missteps by
early implementers of progressive education have left it with a bad name in certain communities.
For design professionals interested in environmental stewardship, making the case for SITES is straightforward: As
an early implementer of the system, the client or owner will gain national recognition in the expanding marketplace of sustainability.
Not exact matches
As
early implementers, these educators have gone both to the «source»
of the standards and used other proxies for quality and alignment: They've worked directly with and learned from the standards» authors themselves and / or used tools created by them (e.g., the Publishers» Criteria developed by Student Achievement Partners and several other groups).
But they've had to make do, to the chagrin
of most educators, who — at least in these
early -
implementer districts — believe that their current state tests are poor measures
of student understanding relative to the new standards and may even detract from proper implementation.

Early Implementers, a new in - depth study from our think tank.
We sought out «
early -
implementer» districts that have moved with fair speed to implement the new academic standards — most
of them well ahead
of their own state timelines for doing so — in the hope that they would reveal lessons worth sharing with the broader field.
With plenty
of feedback from additional experts, including some at Fordham, the team identified four
early -
implementer districts that appeared worthy
of scrutiny: Kenton County (KY), Metro Nashville (TN), Illinois's School District 54 (Schaumburg and vicinity), and Washoe County (Reno, NV).

of the
early implementer districts can build statewide momentum around the new standards, which for many districts has taken a backseat in the rush to implement the Common Core.
Launched as a partnership among the K — 12 Alliance at WestEd, Achieve, the California Department
of Education, and the California State Board
of Education, NGSS
Early Implementers is a large - scale demonstration initiative running through 2018.
He highlighted findings from Pivot's recent report, Getting to the Core: How
Early Implementers are Approaching the Common Core in California, which suggests that successful implementation is possible in districts that steadily integrate small pieces
of the Common Core requirements and that have teachers that collaborate together on assessment methods.
