Best Practices in Early Childhood Transition: A Guide for Families The purpose of this guide, developed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care in collaboration with the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is to help families with
early learners plan ahead on how they can prepare their child for school.
