Earlier in the summer, just as the super
sweet Silver Queen
corn was hitting the farmers» markets, I visited one
of my favorite farming families (a completely adorable elderly couple, the Snyder's, who are still farming well into their 80's, spry and gentle and delightful — amazing... I have a desk job and I go home exhausted every night) and scooped up as many
ears as would fit in my bag.
1 lb sausage, you can use the crumbly sort,

ears of corn in the husks, I felt that this step could have been skipped by simply using frozen
sweet corn.
I also added one

sweet corn, but not until the very end so it retained its sweetness and crunch.
I love the addition
of raw summer
sweet corn — and I really think you'll dig the fresh flavor — but if uncooked
corn is a personal dealbreaker, feel free to grill your
ear beforehand OR give the kernels a quick sauté in a little olive oil.
