easier difficulty levels if one of you dies then you just re-spawn in when there are no enemies around.

easy, switch to one of the other 2 settings (3 total) to increase the

To those rookie mavericks out there looking to settle the galactic score for the first time against oppressive invaders, there's far tastier fare available on the Xbox Live Arcade and elsewhere, but
if you're not short of a few bob and fancy a gaming challenge that could take you under an hour to get through (shorter in co-op and possibly even shorter on the
easiest difficulty level) then you might be OK with this, but as a shoot «em up veteran of some 34 years standing, I'd be remiss in recommending this.
Just like other RPGs,
if you find yourself having
difficulty with one section you can usually backtrack for a bit and gain a few
levels in a previous area before continuing to make it
easier.
However,
if you choose to play the game on the
easiest difficulty level you won't have access to the upgrade system, which is a rather odd choice by Avalanche, but ramp it up to the highest
difficulty and you'll be getting those upgrades much quicker,
if you can survive long enough.
Which isn't necessarily a bad thing
if you want an audience of varying experience
levels, a strategy that works on the
easiest difficulty is generally just as effective on harder
difficulties.
In terms of bringing in new players...
if / when I try again to get my wife to play some sort of third - or first - person action game, you can be damn sure I'll be setting the
difficulty level to «
easy» for her.
As hardware matured and it became
easier to make games longer, retaining that same
level of soul - crushing
difficulty no longer made sense
if designers wanted games to be fun.
So
if you're new, this game supports four
levels of
difficulty from
easy (just the story) to dark (death match) which is extremely challenging and for veteran RPG fans.
As you would probably agree, even the hardcore
difficulty setting is
easy if you install a trainer and start with
level 99 on everything.
Beginners in the genre, such as myself, will find an extensive tutorial and pick a
easy level of
difficulty, allowing them to get going without frustration, while seasoned players can skip the tutorial and choose a much harder
level (there are 6
level of
difficulty if I remember correctly).
We'd all be equal
if those born to privilege placed artificial barriers to «
level the playing field» so we all play at the highest
difficulty level, but we'll be equal AND happier
if those with privilege work to unlock that
easier difficulty for everyone instead.
And even the
easy difficulty setting is difficult
if one of your stats starts at
level 3 and has a ceiling of
level 5 (ex.
There is no
difficulty level, and while there is no failure like in Rock Band, there is now way to dial things up or down
if it gets too tough or too
easy.
The bottom line is,
if you want to play an action - RPG that is
easy to get into, rewards skillful play in higher
difficulty levels, and lets you easily play with your friends, Diablo III is a game that you absolutely can not miss.
Although, there is a part of the experience that frustrated me quite a bit, and it wasn't the
difficulty level but the lack of a map as some
levels include caves and scenarios that might have a common theme and this makes it somewhat
easy to get lost at times, this is of course especially annoying
if you are heading back to
level up and you are scared to get killed and loose the progress only to having to backtrack for too long simply because you are unsure where the sanctuary is.
In terms of enemies, they do border on the
easy side but you can up the
difficulty level if need be.
Although the game supports two
difficulty levels at the start with
easy or normal, you can tweak the combat via the options which can make the combat quite a challenge, especially
if you've walked into an area where you may not be the right
level or have the required attribute set to defeat them.
If you play Rebuild at the
easier difficulty levels, which is a great way to figure out the basics, you'll find lots of replay value to encourage you to explore.
This is a mission where you have no choice of
difficulty level, at the end of a game where even playing on the top
difficulty has felt more than manageable,
if not
easy at points.
If you like this sort of brainless action Warriors Orochi is one of the finest available on the PSP, although warrior switching may make things a little too
easy for those used to a harsher
difficulty level.
