eats this time of year.

After lots of yummy, and well worth it in a homemade - coconut - cream -
pie - kind - of - way,

eating track.
Some people will celebrate the
holiday by making and
eating pies (Washington restaurants are offering specials on everything from pizza to banana cream).
One of my favorite fall traditions is pumpkin
pie around the
holidays so I wanted to come up with a way to indulge my sweet tooth while still
eating healthfully.
I think
pies are what capture the
holidays the most for me, maybe because that's about the only time I
eat them.
Really struggle during
holidays with big cakes,
pies that you have to
eat or freeze — blessings -
Drinking chicken broth and watching people
eat pie isn't a way to spend the
holiday.
This is the kind of recipe I keep on hand to make sure I feel like I'm enjoying the season and
eating fun seasonal food, without indulging in all the sugar and
pie that's around for the
holidays.
That doesn't mean you have to spend the
holidays eating an apple while everyone else has
pie.

I started out trying to create a new
pie recipe for the
holidays but found myself
eating the filling with a spoon so this chocolate pumpkin avocado pudding was born.
I will be
eating my pumpkin
pie and chocolate cupcakes, enjoying spicy candles and just relax with a good start of my favourite
holiday season!
We have something similar in our family and it's my favorite
