There is some controversy surrounding the scientific rationale of
eating like our ancient ancestors — i.e., animal proteins and
plants, the kinds of foods and that would be amassed by a hunter - gatherer society.

plant are often inhaled directly into the lungs, and make their way directly into the bloodstream without being metabolized, or broken down, by the digestive system.

I identified with every word, I'd say I'm mainly
plant based, but
like yourself I have a meat
eating partner, and often when we are in a resturant of his choice, I'd rather go for something
like fresh fish with steamed veggies than pasta pizza etc... Although I 100 % stay away from meat now (I never
liked the taste anyway) when I'm out in a social environment I will
eat fish and eggs.
It makes me feel that the term «vegan» is extremely unfortunate and misleading, because the term does not emphasize or even signify respect for animals or living beings or creatures, as it would benefit from doing, but rather uses a derivative form of «vegetable» or «vegetarian», which makes it sound as if the central point is —
eating vegetation, i.e.
plants, which makes it sound
like a diet.
I'm very interested in
eating as much
like this as I can, meaning no meat except for the occasional fish, mostly
plant, fruit and nut based,
eating mostly raw, no dairy or gluten etc..
I am not vegan but the majority of what I
eat is
plant - based, although I don't
like to attach any labels to my diet as this can end up quite restrictive x
For others with autoimmune conditions, nutritional based treatments can be effective but the fact that some combinations of
plant foods can produce autoimmune symptoms while others result in remission shows that there can be side effects when some people
eat certain
plants (or combinations of
plants) that their system does not
like.
If you want to really go further with your
plant foods, aim to
eat more heart - healthy * superfoods,
like California Avocados.

Now that we are no longer
eating meat, I
like to try and make sure that I add some
plant - based protein to all of our meals.

eating other berries, goji berries are loaded with beta - carotene (a pigment found in
plants and fruits), which helps promote healthy skin and even acts
like a natural skin cancer treatment.
Eat plenty of whole,

like this — traditional comfort food but with out the dairy is just the greatest, having moved away from my family and my grandma's cooking.
As I already said, I
