Of course we're so happy to be back home and just unwind and catch up on my favourite things ~ taking it easy, eating in the backyard, grabbing the blanket and just relaxing out on the grass in the park and hitting the nature trails right by my house.

The rest of the time was spent breaking up Hooper and Gizmo (Hoops loves to try and jump on Gizmo and he won't have it), letting them in and out of the house so they could chase real squirrels, stopping Hooper from eating the baskets that hold magazines, and getting doggie kisses while I tried to work on the computer.

Like chili dogs, before Kevin I wasn't really into buffalo chicken (burgers and cheese dip were more my thing), of course I'd inhale anything buffalo chicken in a second if I was out at a friend's house or eating and drinking at a bar, but mostly likely you wouldn't see it coming out of my kitchen.

Anyways, these are great things to feature — what I've been loving is eating more savory breakfasts, going out of the house more often and solo grocery trips of course!

We ate it probably once a week, and even after I moved out of my parents» house, I still made this dish regularly.

Being out of the house for the vast majority of it meant that we wanted something really easy, but still packed full of flavour and healthy, to eat when we got back.

Peanut butter doesn't last long in my house due to the fact that I frequently eat it out of the jar.

There was a lot of talking and laughing (obviously, it was a house full of girls), a lot of eating and a little drinking (OK, more than a little), some suntanning (or in my case, burning), and there may or may not have been a very loud sing - a-long to terrible 90's music (any Aqua fans out there?).

I baked this the day before we left for Seattle, and brought a bowl of leftovers cold with us when we left the house before dawn, eating it in the car in the Tim Horton's drive - thru in lieu of take - out.
