Food heaven is that you???? I have to admit I can eat 100 % whole wheat bread and pasta all day every day and never miss the bleached / refined stuff but the sticky rice with takeout - style food is my bleached grains pitfall.
Even though properly prepared grains (i.e. sprouted, soaked or soured) can be part of a healthy diet, for a long time people were getting their «daily recommended grains» by eating a large amount of over-processed wheat.
I also stopped eating whole grain wheat.
I love to eat the plain wheat cracker straight out of the box - nothing to mask the salty, slightly sweet flavor of grain.
We eat only gluten - free grains & I can tell a differance, after being on refined, whole wheat products for over half of my life.Plus I liked my sweets way too much.
Check out their website and if you happen to be in the New Haven area, do yourself a favor and stop (if you can eat wheat occasionally of course), but if you can't for dietary reasons that is A-OK because I have the perfect grain and gluten - free alternative for you!!
