In the
last year I have had to reign in my
diet due to health issues and while I am not a vegetarian, I am trying to
eat a
plant -
based diet.
I'm a personal trainer and for the
last decade have been teaching my clients «the truth» about food and haven't seen any case of someone who, when
eating 15 % fat or less on a whole foods
plant based diet, had anything other than stellar results.
Whereas
eating a whole food
plant based diet for the
last two years (inspired in great part by Dr Greger's videos and publications) has improved my health dramatically, I have run into difficulties lately.
Well my sister and brother in law started vegan
last year, I have notice they lost weight and have no cholesterol but my sister is looking older than me and wrinkly she doesn't drink much water she believes she gets all she needs from veggies and fruit which I disagree, also when you go on a whole food
plant based diet are you getting your protein in every meal by adding chick peas, lentil, black beans or kidney beans, hair does use a lot of protein and its need to repair damage from any disease, specially after age 30, or else the body will start by
eating the toxins then the fat and finally the muscles and fat from breast.

last week), presented findings from the Adventist Health Study showing that women
eating plant -
based diets were found to have a 30 % lower chance of reporting chemical allergies, 24 % less asthma, 17 % less drug and bee - sting allergies, and 15 % less hay fever, though men
eating plant -
based appeared to have lower risk only of chemical and drug allergies.
I began
eating a whole foods
plant based diet last year, around October 2016.
Okay, I was saying that I got into this whole movement because I didn't want to kill animals and then I found about all the other benefits to
eating a
plant based diet and how good it was for the environment, but you know, I focus on so many different things in trying to get the message, I spend the
last hour with Dr. Pam Popper talking about the power of
plant foods on health because I'm looking for any angle I can to attract people to not killing animals.
Early
last year, I started on a journey to
eat more of a
plant based and less processed
diet.
