Eat: Grapefruit - Roasted
Beets with White Beans — I made this with a cashew cream thinned with additional grapefruit
juice instead of the pistachio butter.

It's no secret I LOVE
Beets, I probably
eat at least one a day, in the form of a smoothie,
juice or in a salad.
Few people would
eat carrots,
beets, celery, spinach, pomegranate and apple (my big RED
juice) within their day, so this is a great way to not only have the nutrients from the vegetables and fruits, but it's also so much easier for your body to absorb all of the goodness.
Eating beetroot and drinking
beet juice strengthens the body's resistance to diseases, especially to viral infections.
How big of an arugula salad should one
eat to make the salad preferable to the
beet juice.
And to demonstrate that it's a good idea to
juice those foods in the fridge that you need to
eat up or they will go bad (like the half of a tomato I added and some

Hi Dr. Greger, In additoin to
beet juice, Vegan triathletes like Rich Roll are also using cordyceps and maca for endurance, and the recent book «
Eating on the Wild Side» by Jo Robinson mentions watercress for aiding recovery from strenous exercise.
I been taking l - arginine and
eating beets +
juicing, morning wood indeed.
What I question is what the subjects in the video were
eating in addition to the
beet juice?
They're all dark leaves, right you can get a lot of the nitrates that you get from
beet juice or from
beets by just
eating the leaves of the
beet and a lot of these other foods are similar.
I was taking
beet (+
beet green)
juice before workout and now after seeing you informative video is now deciding to switch to Arugula but
eating whole lot before is not practical (too time consuming) and hence the question....
And for a reason: the red
beet with its slightly sweet and naturally earthy taste is super versatile (you can
eat it raw, cooked, roasted, fermented or
juiced) and almost always in season.
From cold - pressed
beet juice fusilli to chickpea shells to quinoa penne, you can have your fettuccine and
eat it, too.
