I would eat hummus and pita as a snack nearly every day in college, I would go through several containers of hummus every week, and I would even make hummus and cheese sandwiches in law school.

In the few days since I made this batch of pickled fennel, I have: chopped up the fennel and mixed it with rice, along with some of the pickling liquid and olive oil; added the fennel to blanched fresh cranberry and green beans and dressed the mixture with pickling liquid, olive oil, and herbs; chopped the fennel and added it to a salad, and used the pickling liquid to make the dressing; eaten the pickles with cheese and crackers; added them to a sandwich.

You'll be eating these slices straight out of the jar, placing them on your charcuterie and cheese plates, and slicing and dicing them before adding to salads and sandwiches.

With pickled cucumber — and other veg — on top and fresh, crispy cucumbers in the middle (plus goat cheese and avocado), this health - loaded sandwich tastes like something we would gladly eat voraciously in the middle of the night.

You can eat this with a dip made from the Maldizano and yoghurt, or I would maybe pair it with a club sandwich or grilled cheese like this one I found at Yummy Tummy Aarthi.

They shared that for starters, they ate white toast and jam for breakfast or a bowl of a popular cereal with milk, then usually had a deli sandwich with meat, mayo and cheese for lunch, and then often had takeout for dinner, usually Chinese food or pizza.
