I always thought that was weird, until I heard that was a common Texan country way of
eating cornbread many years ago.
I miss
eating cornbread with chili and bacon avocado sandwiches, biscuits and jam, and pizza.
In fact I had just concluded that I would never
eat cornbread again, for I would rather have nothing than have another bite of any of the various ones I had tried.
Even the birds won't
eat my cornbread - so kudos to your delicious corn bread / cornbread.
And my son, the one who eats almost nothing,
ate cornbread, for the first time.
But let's be real, you can should
eat cornbread all year round because its bomb.
Love cornbread, grew up without sugar in cornbread, but when I got married a hundred years ago, to get my husband to

Cornbread Poppers with Roasted Chilies
I grew up
eating sweet
cornbread, usually straight from the Jiffy box, paired with a pot of slow cooked beans and fried potatoes, a hearty bowl of chili or goulash.
I made this
cornbread last night and the two of us
ate half the pan!
My family tends to
