And how do you prevent
over eating during the
holidays?
Sometimes for me, it's tough to get back to cleaner
eating after I've been splurging while traveling as I did for a few weeks
over the
holidays.
I know, I know, the
holidays are almost
over and everyone has gained 10 pounds and feels like if they
eat cheese again they'll die.
While you've been
eating rolo stuffed cookies, I've been
over here making homemade caramels... as if I didn't get enough sweets
over the
holidays;)
I've learned for me,
over the
holidays, my biggest struggle with
eating is not planning.
I definitely
ate my fair share of
holiday treats, so now that the
holidays are
over, I'm trying to not
eat as many desserts.
While I'm not big on making new year resolutions, I know many of us feel like we
ate one vegan cheese ball too many
over the
holidays, scarfed one too many coconut caramels and drank one too many bottles of wine.
I seriously recommend making this
over the
holidays to share with your family and friends... otherwise if you make it on an average weekday after work... you WILL end up
eating the entire recipe yourself (I speak from experience!).
I settled on these as my
holiday gift for clients because they stay fresh for a surprisingly long time (I just
ate one that's
over a week old, and it was perfect), and crumbly as they are, they're still sturdy enough for shipping.
I also
ate waaaayy to much cheese and shortbread and chocolate
over the
holidays, and I'm also craving yummy, veggie - packed meals like smoothies and salads.
I figured I'd freeze them to have on hand to
eat with eggs for breakfast
over the
holiday weekend when we'll have family guests in town.
Or have even one or two people
over to your place for a weekend «cook - a-thon», and make a few hearty dishes together,
holiday - style (casseroles, soups, roasted meats, or whatever you like to
eat).
This looks so lovely, exactly what I want to
eat now that the
holiday is
over.
The
holidays don't have to be a time to stress out
over your food choices or sacrifice your healthy
eating routine.
I had a version of this
over the Thanksgiving
holiday and it was so good I couldn't stop
eating it!

holidays so children will have something to

Even if you did gain a true pound or two
over the
holidays (which is normal and OK), you would have to continue to
eat poorly throughout the rest of the year to keep that extra weight on or continue to gain weight.
When the
holidays are
over we put our tree outside and let the local animals, mostly squirrels,
eat the edible parts of the decorations....
Holiday over eating can really get your digestive system out of whack... If you only gained a few pounds
over the
