When you combine this with the fact that the majority of people aiming to lose
fat do NOT track their daily calorie intake with any
real accuracy (they simply wing their diet and «
eat healthy» throughout the day), and you end up with a
real potential problem.
When done in conjunction with proper nutrition (calorie / macro counting,
eating real food) and weight training, HIIT can be the holy grail of
fat loss.
Yes: «
eat real food» — foods with few ingredients like meat and seafood, eggs, vegetables, fruit, natural
fats, herbs, spices, and seasonings.
I
eat Real Whole Foods 3X a day, and I rarely EVER snack (I
eat too much
fat and protein to get hungry).
I had repetitively
eaten so much sugar and over too long of a time period without «balancing» and restabilizing it with
real food, especially bone broth and my favorite probiotic drink, that the sugar loving bacteria - also known as the
fat - inducing kind, overpowered the beneficial ones and starved them out of existence.
In general, you should cut down on sugar and processed carbs and include healthy
fats in your diet (omega 3 fatty acids, monounsaturated and saturated
fat), avoid processed foods high in additives -
eat REAL food, make sure you get enough sleep and include some moderate exercise.
Some of the attention my
eating used to get has been replaced by people impressed by our
real food diet, but it's more than balanced out with criticism from people who don't understand that cholesterol and saturated
fats are good for you.
