Brown

than white rice, but when taken in perspective with the rest of a daily diet, it is not a mandatory choice for «healthy

The first study showed the short - term benefits, as participants who drank guava leaf tea after consuming
white rice had decreases in blood sugar that were greater after 30 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes
than when the same study participants
ate the same amount of
white rice followed by drinking hot water.
We should all
eat whole foods with minimal processing, avoid added sugars, and pay attention to reducing glycemic loads by choosing lower glycemic index starches (whole grains, legumes & sweet potatoes rather
than baked goods and
white rice).
Compared to participants with less
than one serving per week, the multivariable RRs of overall cancer for individuals who
