I realised a few weeks ago that I was feeling very heavy from
eating such sturdy
winter foods (especially Scottish
food, you can imagine...) and so I promptly made a salad.
Yesterday was about as homespun as they go;)
Ate breakfast at home, went to church, came home for leftovers, went to an open house, took Maggie to the park, made some fun
food items, cleaned the house, worked on laundry, switched summer — > fall /
winter clothes, and made dinner!
I know it's not officially spring yet, but the freshness in this dish is a welcome change to the
winter foods we've been
eating for the last few months, that's for sure!

It's making me so excited to be back in America during the fall and
winter months so I can

winters make it hard to get optimal levels of vitamin D, and I don't
eat iodine rich
foods so I supplement that as well.
I like this idea of being able to
eat art... I've seen some incredible instagram accounts with plates of
food that look like art — I'm with you - I always crave ice cream in the
winter, jk I crave it all the time
It has nothing to do with tamales or pie but plays a significant role in my
winter sanity (along with red wine, hot baths, and bedtime, not necessarily in that order) because some nights you need to feel like you

We
eat a lot of broccoli all
