This is specifically why I joined KU when I have 1500 books in my
TBR pile (thousands in my home library and
ebook library combined I can read or reread): I wanted longer samples.
My kindle is different though, and is a black hole in a different way — it's
TBR is tiny and so what I find happening is that, despite having a mountain of physical books to get through, I end up having to buy an
ebook because I'm all out and need one on there for the times when it's more convenient to read on my kindle (sitting at my local restaurant so no one will bug me and ask what i'm reading)
My
TBR list is endless, and I love to read free
ebooks by authors.
I need an
ebook everything
TBR app.
On the topic of how much we buy vs read: I am guilty of having a significant
TBR stack & files, but this was true even before I started to read
ebooks in earnest.
As an avid (over 100 books a year) reader: If a book I want isn't available in
ebook format, and for a reasonable price, then I'll just leave it on my
TBR list until it is, and go on to reading all the other books on my list.
