For ereaders that support Adobe EPUB, you can download free
ebooks from libraries through a service called Overdrive with a valid library card.
All you have to do is enter your library card number and that's it, you're good to borrow
ebooks from your library through the Kobo store.

library, the patron selects a pre-determined amount of time to have the book and then the
ebook is removed
from the device; in some cases, the borrow period is as much as 21 days.
You can browse the books
from the bookstores
through the inbuilt browser and download them directly, and if you use your Dropbox to store your
ebooks, you can access them directly
through this app and import them to your
library.
The software between the two models is identical as well, with one exception: the Kobo Aura One supports OverDrive directly so you can download
library ebooks for free
from public
libraries through the Kobo store.
If you've got an Android or iOS device, Nook, BeBook or readers
from Sony, you'll be able to download them
through Pottermore, and store it in your Google
eBooks library.
We are actively working to persuade
libraries to purchase titles - and keep them forever -
through our service, instead of continually licensing
ebooks at higher prices
from other services.
Of 30 titles, all 30 are available as
library ebooks from OverDrive and 29 are available
through 3M.
If a patron used the EAF app to download
ebooks from our catalog, tries five titles, and can't get
through any of them because they aren't good, that patron will stop borrowing our titles because they no longer trust us, and

library catalog when the waitlist is too long.

from September last year show that six times as many
ebooks were distributed
through the
library network than
through all commercial outlets combined.
