Economy Class product is pretty dismal but, although there's clearly a lot of scope for improvement, I couldn't imagine American implementing any of the changes I could think of that would actually improve the offering (less crowded cabins, better food, etc...).
The airlines» Premium Economy product is an unknown quantity at this point as I hasn't entered service yet but I can still comment on
the Economy Class product — avoid it!
On top of this the A380 offers more Business Class seating than the 777 (good for award availability) and
the Economy Class product is more comfortable - its a win all round.
I have yet to try out any of their competitor's products so I have nothing to compare it to but I don't know if I would value the Premium
Economy Class product that much over regular Economy Class.
Among the major U.S. airlines, Delta has long had the best
economy class product.

Economy Class product?
On their Boeing 777 - 300ER fleet, the Singapore Airlines Premium
Economy Class product has its own dedicated cabin aft of the main business class cabin.
Lufthansa Premium Economy Class feels closer to
an economy class product whereas Singapore Airlines Premium Economy Class fits exactly where it should be, squarely in between their economy and business class products.
And lastly, Singapore Airlines made some slight improvements to their already amazing
economy class product.
All Nippon Airways is one of just 7 airlines to earn a five - star rating from Skytrax, and while the luxurious first and business class cabins play a large role in this, so does the quality of
the economy class product.

Class seat on an East - to - West flight, it's up to you to think about work productivity in
Economy versus Business.
