Delta appears to understand the need to keep passengers happy in the air (presumably to make up for keeping them
so miserable with their loyalty program) and if they can manage to offer a noticeably better service in Premium
Economy than in
Economy they may have a new
product worth trying out....
I think that if this has been a good airline that I was considering (like Singapore Airlines) I would have
so much confidence in the Premium
Economy product that I would have booked it as soon as I saw the fare... but this isn't a good airline I'm considering — it's BA — and that makes quite a bit of difference.
I'm scheduled to flying the new Dreamliner in November
so I'll be wring a review of the Premium
Economy product and, if my upgrade clears, the Business Class
product too.
I've always found the staff and crew to be friendly and helpful and the airline's
product very good indeed (even in
Economy Class back in 2011)
so I'm looking forward to seeing how the airline sets out its new aircraft and which routes it will fly first.
The addition of the 787 - 9 to the Dallas — Paris route is a big improvement in hard
product for Business Class passengers (not
so much for
Economy Class passengers looking for a bit of room) and will offer the Premium
Economy product that some have been looking forward to (I'm definitely not one of them!)
I have yet to try out any of their competitor's
products so I have nothing to compare it to but I don't know if I would value the Premium
