It takes several washes to prep both
diaper and insert; after washing and drying the insert
edges curl
up, which is kind
of unfortunate in terms

If your insert is too big, it can get scrunched

diaper with no absorbent layer, and if it's too small, then it won't reach to the
edge of the
diaper.
