Design The Yoga Tablet 2 uses the same design seen on Lenovo's Android - based tablets of the same name, with one
edge of the tablet rounded to provide a handhold.

First published by BGR, the photos show a radically modified exterior for the high - end
tablet, which is accented by angular
edges; this is a distinct departure from the smooth,
rounded edges of its predecessor (see photo, above).
In terms
of design, the
tablet is said to feature
rounded edges like an iPad as opposed to squared off corners
of the premium Surface Pro lineup.
With more
rounded edges, the
tablet bears little resemblance to the current crop
of Nexus 7 devices, though there seems to be no mention
of the most talked about feature, a range topping 2560 x 1600 pixel display.
The
edges of the
tablet curve outward, creating a more «
rounded» silhouette (see the top image).
The
tablet itself measures just 0.85 by 8.25 by 5.8 inches (HWD)-- though most
of that thickness is in the
rounded, rolled
edge, while the main
tablet is just 0.3 - inch thick — and weighs a very light 0.94 pounds, so using it won't wear out your arm after 10 minutes.
And while the casing is made entirely from plastic, I really like the soft finish on the back and the
round edges of this
tablet.
There's a concave
edge at the top
of the keyboard where the
rounded spine
of the
tablet perfectly fits.
There is a thin metal frame surrounding the Xperia Z3
Tablet Compact and while it looks very similar to the Xperia Z2
Tablet, the new device takes a few style tips from the Xperia Z3 smartphone with a slightly
rounder edge and reduced metal detailing, plus the signature side power button
of course.
