Director Nimrod Antal delivers the goods when it comes to staging and
editing exciting action, but in terms of plot, character, and style, Predators is old hat.

Even the
action sequences aren't terribly
exciting; in fact, they're so poorly
edited that it seems like entire beats have been removed to save money in post-production.
While the
action certainly had rough spots in the
editing department, the
action was enjoyable and
exciting at times.
We have to admit that we're at least a little
excited to check out Taraji P. Henson's upcoming
action thriller Proud Mary; despite the not - especially - great sign of Sony skipping press screenings for the film, the idea of Henson gunning down a bunch of gangsters in a slickly
edited action flick has an undeniable appeal.
All of its
action sequences are just tightly
edited enough to be
exciting without becoming hyperactive; all of its characters are just developed enough to warrant analysis without interfering with the thrills; and its screaming misanthropy is just equal - opportunity enough to not feel like xenophobia.
Julian Clarke and Lee Smith's
editing and Trent Opaloch's cinematography also deserve credit for helping to add to the grittiness and swiftness of the
exciting action scenes in the film.
Perhaps the most
