One of the strengths of the Forum is that our exemplar schools all present breakout sessions, so conference participants can see
what effective character education looks like.
Of course, there are superficial attempts out there, but what schools do when they implement CEP's framework, the 11 Principles of
Effective Character Education, is not superficial.

effective character education is Community of Peace Academy (CPA), in St. Paul, Minnesota, a K - 12 school with a rich history of accomplishments.

All schools and districts that can demonstrate excellence in character education, as measured by CEP's 11 Principles of
Effective Character Education, will be considered for State and / or National Schools of Character recognition.
That data provides useful information, from which the character education team identifies specific areas of need (e.g. Students» Feelings of Belonging, School Expectations, etc.) that correlate with principles from Character Education Partnership's Eleven Principles of
Effective Character Education.
