A state Supreme Court Justice has ruled in favor of a Great Neck
teacher who sued the state over its
teacher evaluation model after she received an «ineffective» on the rating tied to students» test performance — one year after being rated «
effective» for similar scores.
She's currently conducting a study sponsored by the National Science Foundation that's giving
teachers in grades four and five in a suburban Boston school the tools to conduct self -

teachers, create disincentives for teaching high - need students, offer no useful feedback on how to improve teaching practice and risk driving some of the best educators out of the profession.
