Performance Standard 3: Instructional Leadership The superintendent fosters the success of all teachers, staff,

effective teaching practice is being embedded throughout the school, we work with school
and district staff to design formative assessments to capture student
learning,
and we oversee the implementation
and progress of instructional interventions for students who need additional support.
As the book
progresses through the year, teachers will find a wealth of resources, including practical models to
teach strategies
and skills;
effective teaching schedules; ways to address, challenge, expand,
and celebrate student
learning; examples of student work; parent education materials;
and ideas on how to manage assessment.

learning will support those students who are not making the required
