Barriers to
the effective use of technology in education: Current status.
NMSTE Mission: To ensure the success for all students by serving as a state wide network of individuals seeking to improve teaching and learning by advancing
the effective use of technology in education.
We offer the key building blocks for your school technology ensuring everything we do is focused on helping teachers to teach and learners to learn, by developing engaging, inspiring solutions for
the effective use of technology in education.
They advocate and share their thoughts on
effective use of technology in education with both peers and policy makers.
Five student groups shared their presentations with ISTE's Leadership Symposium, which is made up of more than 150 educators from across the country who strive to develop and model
the effective use of technology in education in their schools, school districts, and states.
The ISTE Student Technology Leadership Symposium grew out of a commitment of the ISTE board to include students such as McCartan in discussions regarding
the effective use of technology in education, education reform, and other such important topics.

of professional development that will support the teaching staff
in developing consistent and
effective instructional practices
using digital content and
technology to maximise engaging and relevant learning experiences for students.
The strength
of both models is that they emphasize
effective pedagogy as a driver for
technology use, with the consequent possibilities for improving teacher
education and learning partnerships
in the learning commons.

of how preservice teachers
use TPACK
in technology - enhanced special
education environments can provide teacher educators with a basis for designing experiences that can promote
effective technology integration
in similar learning contexts.
