Designers have tried incredibly hard to mimic the page - turns and sound
effects of a real book, but these ersatz interactions satisfy a bibliophile as much as a picture of water satisfies a man in the desert.

book by giving tidbits
of information but not the full picture; 2) used
real research, charts, graphs and studies to support his methods; 3) actually dealt with
real people and had proof
of helping
real people; 4) advocated not just a diet change but pinpointed fasting as the key; 5) told the truth that insulin resistance is the
real issue and everything else is just symptoms or
effects; 6) said that diabetes could be cured (this by itself is a bold claim); and 7) made himself available to anyone via email, etc..
The
real problem here is that director Simon Wincer (Free Willy, Quigley Down Under) is not able to deviate from the campy nature
of the comic
book tale, never taking anything seriously, leaving us to marvel at some
of the stunt work and special
effects, while the main tale leaves us feeling distant despite the pyrotechnics.

effects have skyrocketed, Hollywood has turned its attention to fantasy and comic
book adaptations; because really, they can do anything they want with the
real world.
