If the taxpayer is a nonresident alien individual for any portion of the taxable year, this section shall apply only if such individual is treated as a resident alien of the United States for purposes of this chapter by reason of
an election under subsection (g) or (h) of section 6013.
(3) The applicant's
election under subsection (1) is final and can be subsequently changed only if permitted under subsection (2).

112.1 The annual submission under section 112 for the year of a general
election under subsection 9 (2) shall also describe in detail the total estimated cost of that election.

Drivers with a Class A, B, or C license, or drivers charged with exceeding the speed limit by more than 30 mph may not make
an election under this subsection.

election is to take place as provided for by
subsection (1) or (3), the polling day for the
election is to be the day appointed by Her Majesty by proclamation on the recommendation of the Prime Minister (and, accordingly, the appointed day replaces the day which would otherwise have been the polling day for the next
election determined
under section 1).
Where any officer of a body designated by notice in writing pursuant to
subsection (9D) wishes to obtain, for the purpose of compiling a roll of electors for an
election and for no other purpose, any specified information, the Electoral Commission may, in accordance with regulations made
under this Act, give that officer, on payment of the prescribed fee, a computer - compiled list or electronic storage medium containing that information.
No withdrawal of a list of candidates
under subsection (1) shall have any effect unless it is lodged with the Electoral Commission not later than noon on the date specified in the writ for the
election of constituency candidates as the latest date for the nomination of constituency candidates.
(a) Insert «1» after (a)» in
subsection (a) and add at the end of
subsection (a) the following new paragraphs: (2) No person acting
under color of law shall --(A) in determining whether any individual is qualified
under State law or laws to vote in any Federal
election, apply any standard, practice, or procedure different from the standards, practices, or procedures applied
under such law or laws to other individuals within the same county, parish, or similar political subdivision who have been found by State officials to be qualified to vote;
(3) If an
election is made
under subsection (2), the insurer shall pay benefits in accordance with the
election.
(4) If a person who would be entitled to benefits
under this Regulation in the absence of
subsection (1) elects to bring an action referred to in section 30 of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 and there is a dispute concerning the insurer's liability to pay an expense for a vocational rehabilitation program the person was attending at the time of the
election and continues to attend, the insurer shall pay the expense pending resolution of the dispute.
(10.0.1) Subject to
subsections (10.0.2) to (10.1) and to the regulations, the number of members of a district school board, not including members appointed
under subsection 188 (5), shall be the number of members determined for the board for the purposes of the regular
election in 2006.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply in respect of an insured person who elects to bring an action referred to in section 30 of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 so long as the
election is not made primarily for the purpose of claiming benefits
under this Regulation.
If, after the statement of endorsement is filed
under subparagraph 5 i, the registered party is deregistered
under subsection 12 (2) or (2.1) of the
Election Finances Act, its name shall not be shown on the ballot.
(3) In a by -
election and in a general
election that is not held
under subsection 9 (2), advance polls shall be held in accordance with the following rules:
69 Notice in writing of an application to be made
under subsection 71 (1) shall be given forthwith by the applicant personally or sent by registered mail to the Chief Electoral Officer, the returning officer and
election clerk, and each candidate in the electoral district.
17.14 (1) In every calendar year in which a general
election is to be held
under subsection 9 (2), the Chief Electoral Officer shall conduct a targeted registration program, which shall be completed before the writs are issued.
If a person makes an
election to attend a basic driver improvement course
under this
subsection, 18 percent of the civil penalty imposed
under s. 318.18 (3) shall be deposited in the State Courts Revenue Trust Fund; however, that portion is not revenue for purposes of s. 28.36 and may not be used in establishing the budget of the clerk of the court
under that section or s. 28.35.
(2) If notice is required
under subsection (1)(d) because a new director or officer is appointed or elected, within 30 days after the appointment or
election, the brokerage must submit to the council the information and statements required
under section 4 - 5 (2)(c)[materials that must accompany applications — directors and officers] of the bylaws for each new director or officer.
