But this was far
from a typical Barry
score: it's got a sweet, lovely main theme but otherwise this is dark suspense music marked as being distinctive in the composer's vast filmography thanks to its
electronic nature, with Barry enlisting the help of Jonathan Elias to realise the various
electronic sounds.
His eclectic output has been pretty impressive so far — ranging
from electronic soundscapes through to fully - orchestral
scores.
The ambient
electronic material is chilled - out and evocative, but while this composer is perfectly adept at applying that style of
scoring to a film (it usually works very well in context), it's very hard to imagine there are too many people who would like it on album as much as similar styles
from other composers who are possibly more at home working that way.
And it does decline — twitchily overseen by
electronic artist Jon Hopkins» superb, propulsive
score, Daisy and Piper journey
from town to countryside, witnessing bloody and dire circumstances of their friends along the way.
The
score from Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross drifts between the
electronic psychosis Fincher prefers, and lighter romantic fare, but all of it works well in enhancing the atmosphere of the film.»

from modern mind - splitting
electronic elements to haunting string themes.
It has a
score by French
electronic duo Air, it comes
from director Erik Skjoldbjærg who helmed the original «Insomnia» before Christopher Nolan remade it, and it stars Aksel Hennie («Headhunters «-RRB-, Stephen Lang («Avatar»), Wes Bentley («American Beauty,» «The Hunger Games «-RRB- and Stephanie Sigman («Miss Bala «-RRB-.
The soundtrack's full of 90s hits
from Pulp, Primal Scream, The Housemartins and more, while Steven Price's orchestral
score actually has quite a bit of refreshing earnestness to it — the 90s pop songs solidify the nostalgia - comedy part of The World's End, while the eerie
electronic sounds and intense orchestration of Price's
score help immensely to sell the action scenes and drama.
It's an absolutely delightful little
score — though you wouldn't necessarily know that
from the opening, «Running Through the Woods», an edgy
electronic piece.
Good Time features a collective of cinema artists working at the top of their game,
from Robert Pattinson's career - best performance, to ace cinematographer Sean Price Williams» near - psychedelic neon color schemes, to Benny Safdie and Ronald Bronstein's relentless and breathless editing, to Oneohtrix Point Never's nervy
electronic score.
