Digitimes reports that E Ink Holdings is ramping up
its electronic shelf label display (ESL) production as the company expects double - digit growth in 2017.
The company expects
its electronic shelf label sales to peak in the second half of 2017 with a year - on - year growth rate of 20 - 30 % in 2017.
The Spectra panels are aimed for
electronic shelf label (ESL) retail applications.
Applications include e-readers, such as the Amazon Kindle,
electronic shelf labels and other signage.
Sales of e-book readers and e-paper notebooks together accounted for 70 % of E Ink's third - quarter revenues, with the remaining 30 % from IoT applications including smart cards,
electronic shelf labels (ESL), e-paper display solutions, and mobile and wearable devices.
