I like to use that card to book my hotel

Note that you can only earn
elite qualifying nights for the room you're
staying in, but the extra points earned on other rooms can stack quickly if you're planning a big vacation or party with friends or family.

As will most major hotel promotions registration is required before the end of your first
qualifying stay and you'll have to decide which bonus you want to receive (double points or double
elite nights) at the time of registration.
If Hyatt really wanted to do something nice for its members, they could change the
qualifying nights requirement back to what it was pre-2017 under the old Hyatt Gold Passport program when 50 nights (or 25
stays) earned top - tier
elite status.
They've tried it with the stick in the past -
stays through OTAs don't
qualify for
elite status credit, or points, or even recognition of
elite status (that is, if you're a Hilton Diamond member but book a Hilton hotel
stay through an OTA, you won't get the free breakfast your Hilton Diamond membership otherwise entitles you to).
Points are earned on room rate and on
qualifying incidental spend up to $ 5000 per
stay (and not on casino spend), and
elite bonuses apply.

elite qualifying nights and
stays, and enjoy any additional benefits you're entitled to if you have
elite status.
This could be a solid deal on an inexpensive
stay or can even stack with the 4th night free if you have the Citi Prestige card, though keep in mind that
stays booked through the ThankYou portal will not
qualify towards
elite status or earn hotel points, nor will you enjoy any
elite...
