elite status credits on Alaska Airlines flights booked through American Airlines (i.e flights booked as an American Airlines flight number)
You will not receive additional 2 stay or 5 night

But it's a great strategy for Australian travelers to earn up to 10
elite status credits a month!
Then, each time you stay at Marriott hotels, you will earn base points as well as
elite status credits.
Another method for earning
elite status credits is by enrolling in the FlyBuys program and using the card for special savings.
Additionally, you get 10
elite status credits just for booking the event, and up to 10 more for each additional guest room booked.
The FlexPerks card does not offer any direct way of earning
elite status credits.

elite status credits on award stays (not just paid stays), which is a rarity among hotel programs.
In addition to the 15 elite night credits, you will receive 1 additional
elite status credit for every $ 3,000 spent on the Marriott Premier card.
I did try to do this, but their systems screwed up the reservation and never gave
me my elite status credit, with the only solution — I was told — to bypass the miles and choose points like usual.
Even if you absolutely had to have a flexible rate (which in this case costs $ 315 + tax = $ 365 / night) you would still be overpaying by $ 5 / night... and you would be forgoing Hyatt Points and
elite status credit by booking an award night.
For those with tons of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, the ability to transfer points to Hyatt and earn
elite status credit for award stays could be huge.
They've tried it with the stick in the past - stays through OTAs don't qualify for
elite status credit, or points, or even recognition of elite status (that is, if you're a Hilton Diamond member but book a Hilton hotel stay through an OTA, you won't get the free breakfast your Hilton Diamond membership otherwise entitles you to).

These cards are the best cards to spend large amounts of money on if you don't really care about earning airline
elite status, cash back, companion passes, etc. via
credit card spending and want to fly in First or Business class and stay in nicer hotels.
