[Because I'm aware the above is slightly wordy and possibly confusing, here's the basic gist = Make a sticky protein mix by mixing nut - butter + protein - powder +
oats / quinoa - flakes + whatever
else you
like in your bars - > coat them in coconut flour and give them rectangular shapes - > coat them in melted chocolate - > fridge them - > boom!]
And making your own energy bars from scratch with seeds,
oats and healthy proteins
like hemp can be a fun way to make sure you get pure energy... and nothing
else.
To say that people can replace the rice in their diets with something
else like quinoa, barley,
oats or millet is both arrogant and ignorant.
It is just as cost effective for me and anyone
else that lives in my part of the US to buy other grains
like millet,
oats, farro, or barley as it is rice.
But if you buy a package of rolled
oats, some raisins, honey, and whatever
else your family
likes, you can make it in bulk for a lot less.
