an emergency care veterinarian and her advice for pet parents who are dealing with a pet health emergency.
In order to start practicing as
an emergency care veterinarian, the first step is to acquire a license.
That means recent veterinary college graduates must be accepted into
an emergency care veterinarian residency program.
Regardless, if your pet is exposed or bitten, seek immediate help from your primary or
emergency care veterinarian.
Once you have rinsed your pet's mouth, seek care from your primary or
emergency care veterinarian as soon as possible.
