The department now features a separate entrance, three
dedicated emergency exam rooms, its own surgical and radiology suite, a large patient visitation area, and high flow air filtration to protect and treat patients with infectious diseases.
The AVSEC Emergency & Critical Care service provides
FREE emergency exams within the first 60 days of adopting any species of new pet from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.
When your pet arrives at the emergency clinic, there will be
an emergency exam fee, as well as the cost of any diagnostic test (s) and / or treatment (s) performed.
The cost for
the emergency exam is $ 99.00.
Since your invoice listed the charge as
an emergency exam, we could not provide reimbursement for that fee.
By making the office visit fee (vet exam,
emergency exam, recheck or consultation) part of the pet parent's financial responsibility, it allows us to offer a complete accident and illness plan at an affordable monthly premium.
However, if your pet has already been seen and examined by your veterinarian for the same issue prior to your visit,
the emergency exam fee will be waived.
