oxygen tanks, as well as
emergency equipment, including neonatal resuscitation items and postpartum hemorrhage supplies.
Be sure your caregiver carries the necessary
equipment and supplies to start
emergency treatment if needed, such as infant resuscitation
equipment and
oxygen, IVs, and medication to stem postpartum bleeding.
Emergency ambulances carry a wide range of
equipment including intravenous drips, drugs,
oxygen and heart defibrillators.
If moderate sedation is used, the facility should have
equipment to monitor
oxygen saturation, heart rate, and blood pressure as well as have
emergency resuscitation
equipment and an
emergency transfer plan.
