Perhaps that has been done for HITRAN's calculations of the absorption and
emission spectra of different materials in the laboratory, but I think it can not have been done for its calculations of CO2's absorptions and emissions in the atmosphere because (fortunately for all life on the planet) the atmosphere can not be placed in a laboratory.
