I am actually crying because it
breaks my
heart I can't imagine the
emotions of grief, pain, anger, guilt etc. but I pray you can let go
of the guilt.
The essence
of true forgiveness is to clear all toxic
emotions (anger, hate, resentment, guilt, shame, regret etc.) This includes toxic
emotions toward those that
broke your
heart, as well as, toward yourself for perceived mistakes.
What is most surprising is the complete lack
of emotion here, the lack
of anything to really feel, this is ostensibly a
heart -
breaking album dealing with the loss
of a loved one, and yet there is no feeling, no passion, no effort to actually channel that pain into catharsis, into something worth listening to.
Constantly
breaking down the fourth wall with brilliant inventiveness, with a fantastic double turn by Alex Jennings as Bennett, the film is enthralling, full
of laughter,
heart - rendering
emotion and an exceptional central performance by Smith.

broken and fixed — it is so joyful to watch a character so succinctly communicated Lesley Manville — Another Year — heartbreaking with closeup after closeup
of vulnerability and grasping hope — truly a fragile and pulsating performance Julianne Moore — Kids Are All Right — courageous and oh so human — sexy and vulnerable in an earthy way — her struggles with herself are the
heart of the movie and she carries it magnificently and warmly Natalie Portman — Black Swan — the tour de force this year — the crazy, emotionally volatile core
of a crazy, emotionally volatile film — some wonder if it might be «easer» to play such big
emotions but the incredibly thin wire she has to traverse in such an extreme environment is daunting and she makes it work and gives us believability and solicits true sympathy in the middle
of a fright fest — a truly accomplished achievement
It is the color
of music, the sound
of the spirit and the
emotions that exist in our living environments, the color
of wind, the smell
of rain, the texture
of snow, the salty taste
of tears, the discord
of the
broken heart, the color
of love, the music
of the road, and rhythms
of change that are created each time we arrive and say our goodbyes.
But if expressionism also implies some special access to raw
emotion, particularly
of the angsty,
heart -
of - darkness variety, then Francis's sea - and - spray lyricism strains the notion pretty much to the
breaking point (though the brooding side
of the story ain't exactly a tight fit when it comes to a lot
of the core Tenth Streeters either).
