appointments, writing prescriptions, and transcribing information into appropriate logs • Log all prescriptions, referrals and patient information in appropriate system software

Duties of a medical assistant can include, measuring vital signs, performing routine laboratory tests, operating x-ray and electrocardiograph equipment, assisting the doctor
during examinations, obtaining referral and surgery pre-authorizations, transcribing patient
encounters scheduling
appointments and surgeries, preparing and maintaining medical records and ordering supplies.
