encountered by veterinary cardiologists: feline myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle; myocardial infarction, tissue death in an area of the heart muscle resulting from a blood clot; and «unclassified» cardiomyopathies, a category comprising hybrids of the various conditions.
