I have few
comments on my site but blog
because I love the creative outlet and
because a small handful say it
encourages them.
Current Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary President Paige Patterson has come under fire in recent days for resurfaced
comments in which he
encouraged women in abusive relationships to stay with their spouses
because he opposes divorce.
First, I am
encouraged by emails and
comments like this
because it shows that many people are taking the courageous step of following Jesus wherever He leads.

because they created a healthy sleep environment without necessarily doing anything specific.»
I've been blog hopping and there are so many blogs that are wonderful for what they are, but they just aren't for me... and while I've stopped by far more than 20, I haven't left
comments at all of them
because I don't really want to just say «Jennifer was here,» I want to leave a meaningful
comment, an
encouraging comment, a «nice to meet you, see you again»
comment... and unfortunately, for many of the blogs I've visited, I just can't.
«I didn't thing that that was something that he should have
encouraged by posting such inflammatory
comments because that just derails the business of the board,» Harig
commented.
Such
comments are actually
encouraging because they motivate me to succeed.
And you ladies
encourage me every step of the way with your
comments and shares and spreading the word
because we rule!
Not
because I have nothing to say, but
because as a teacher I spend my days
commenting (as nicely as possible) this and that and
encouraging people to speak, and off - duty I'm simply fed up with words and the need to say something... As for negative
comments... well, since I have to suppress my sarcasm at work, I let it loose whenever I have the chance, and I've yet to meet a person who didn't regret trying to put me down... And dungarees, why not?
I

because that's how we learn.
The next stages are easy to predict as well — the issues of «process» will be lost in the noise, the fake overreaction will dominate the wider conversation and become an alternative fact to be regurgitated in twitter threads and blog
comments for years, the originators of the issue may or may not walk back the many mis - statements they and others made but will lose credibility in any case, mainstream scientists will just see it as hyper - partisan noise and ignore it, no papers will be redacted, no science will change, and the actual point (one presumes) of the «process» complaint (to
encourage better archiving practices) gets set back
because it's associated with such obvious nonsense.
It's not enough to just ignore anonymous
comments,
because they lower the bar for everyone else and
encourage others to lower it further still.
Of course, they should be
encouraged to exercise caution in their writings, but they should not be forced to down quills
because some general
comments risk being construed as specific to individuals who appear before them.
I normally don't talk about the
comments in a previous post,
because for all I know, this is your first visit to my blog and you have no idea what any of my previous posts were even about, but I just * have * to quickly say thank you to everyone who does know what I'm talking about
because they did leave me an
encouraging comment on Monday's post.
