They included whether all members should have equal staff budgets, how more
robust committee and floor
debates could be
encouraged and if the terms of the speaker and committee chairs should be limited.
While at the time of writing, these reforms were yet to be considered by the Senate or House of Representatives, the Reform Bill has
encouraged debate on native title reform and put pressure on the Australian Government to consider more
robust changes than it may ordinarily have pursued.
