Pull the long
end of the fabric around your back again and up over the opposite shoulder from where the short tail is.

I just cut and sew the size I need and then make a series
of button holes
around the top and thread it with grosgrain ribbon (which I can usually find «
end of spool» discounts at the local cloth store... also the scraps section
of the
fabric store is a great place to find inexpensive
fabric to make the bags).
If you have a lot
of give left on the
ends of the
fabric, bring them
around to the front and double knot them again.

Put the bottom
end (the wider part)
of the egg in the centre
of the
fabric and gather at the top, pulling tightly
around the egg.
BTW — When you are upholstering, make sure that you staple once in the middle
of each
of the four sides and then continue stapling
around the piece, going from one side to the other and
end to
end, so that the
fabric stays straight and taunt.
