Field observations from West Africa and Ethiopia have indeed established a strong correlation between absence or low
endemicity of P. vivax malaria and the high prevalence of the Duffy negative allele [20, 21].
The research reported in PLoS Pathogens suggests that
the endemicity of any microbe, caused by genetic specialization, could be a marker for future extinction.

«Given the wide variation in the transmission
of the disease — endemic areas, areas
of low
endemicity, hyperendemic areas, and sometimes these strata all occurring in the same country — we prefer to look at each country separately without aggregates over the entire continent,» Buj says.
The unusual living habits and high degree
of endemicity makes this spider a rare and remarkable species.
A probability map
of areas exceeding 1 % prevalence (the threshold used to define podoconiosis
endemicity) was also developed (Deribe et al., 2015d).
Certainly, in certain parts
of this country ticks are more important vectors than mosquitoes, but with heartworm considered and its
endemicity in the southeast, you would probably have to say that heartworm and the risk
of exposure to mosquitoes is probably more important than ticks.
That sort

endemicity, like the southeast and other regions
of the country, is spreading northward and increasing northward.
Second, the proposed future effects
of rising temperatures on
endemicity are at least one order
of magnitude smaller than changes observed since about 1900 and up to two orders
of magnitude smaller than those that can be achieved by the effective scale - up
of key control measures.
I did so last week in a piece on a new study in the journal Nature concluding that efforts to stem the disease are swamping the potential expansion
of malaria
endemicity from warming; he's done so today in a piece attacking those who chose to report on this news.
