Typical
endgame raids await to continue powering up, but honestly other games do those better.
This is still the same game that we reviewed on PC last year, and every aspect of the game that was excellent then remains excellent now: the class system still provides a nearly endless amount of replayability, the quests are still varied and well - designed, FATEs are still exciting and breathe new life into each zone, the combat is still satisfying and complex, the story is still intriguing and told in an engaging manner, the dungeons and
endgame raids are still among the best in the genre, and the graphics and soundtrack and still ridiculously impressive.
Although I'd never played an MMO of this scale, I had some idea of what was in store — an organic player community, challenging
endgame raids, and lots of offbeat side activities, to name a few things.

I'm only two levels past 60 and the new content is perfect for those players who felt that the previous
endgame was catering too strongly to 40 - man

While they have done a lot over the past few months to improve the
raid, the nightfall, and other housekeeping items, there hasn't been a major change to progression, loot, and
endgame content to bring players back.
It also raises the requirements for
endgame activities across the board, like the
raid and Nightfall strike.
We have on the way a new
Raid Lair, PVP Ranking, new PVP maps, a new
endgame activity that has not been revealed, a new location, and a new story.
With this Power Level we can know for certain that Phil Spencer hasn't taken part in any of the core
endgame events like a Nightfall Strike, Leviathan
Raid, or Trials of the Nine.
While extremely fun and a great alternative to
raiding or
endgame PvP, Escalation Protocol does suffer from the inability to party up with more than three players.
Fantastic
endgame dungeon and
raid content.
Open world content has become more difficult and unforgiving, encouraging (though not requiring) the assistance of fellow players, and the
endgame has shifted more toward high end
raids and dungeons.
However, the quality of its side quests — which are necessary to level — tends to be fairly weak, and it does shift focus to a more
raid - centric
endgame once you've progressed far enough.
Speaking of the
raid, we have received two new pieces of
endgame content: the
raid lair «Spire of Stars» and a new hoard mode activity called «Escalation Protocol,» which is a 7 - level hoard type of encounter that has many different mechanics and will reward players at levels 3, 5 and 7.
This week, the Leviathan
Raid's challenge is the Pleasure Gardens, one of the hardest encounters in the
endgame experience.
Instead the game focused on high - end huge
raids as the pinnacle of
endgame and doubled down on randomness and constant challenge, relegating interesting concepts like Paths to the sidelines.
