Prior to the replacement part, there was
an engine shudder coming out of first.
Back in late September was the first time I experienced
this engine shudder / stutter behavior when the tachometer dial went from say something around 2k RPM and dropped to round idle near 600RPM or so.
I had
an engine shudder during my idle after startup yesterday morning.
At a stoplight,
the engine shudders to a stop; upon releasing the brake pedal, the engine turns over — causing a dip in the battery's amperage and dimming the headlights, then releases the brakes causing the car to jolt forward.

Since the small electric motor can only power the car when creeping forward very slowly, the gasoline
engine is constantly starting and stopping at low speeds with a noticeable
shudder.

engine component that many people confuse with a throttle plate on a diesel
engine is called an «anti
shudder valve».

Hydraulic
engine mounts isolate the

engine would be firing smoothly and then as the needle dropped near idle the
engine bay would shake and the needle would surge up slightly and then fall to idle and things would rapidly settle after about 1 second of
shudder.
The hybrid and plug - in hybrid versions of the Ioniq have a single electric motor housed between the 1.6 - liter inline - four
engine and the dual - clutch transmission, which works with the hybrid system's electric motor to help buffer out the typical
