The next four
books down, which I'll
read in no particular order, just whichever fits my mood, are Dave Eggers» A Hologram for the King (I'm a huge fan); Margaret Maron's One Coffee With (I'm so glad that Oconee Spirit Press just reissued this long out of
print title); Fountain of Age, a collection of stories by Nancy Kress (I really
enjoyed her novel Beggars in Spain); and China Mieville's Railsea (I loved Un Lun Don, and this is another novel for kids).
It could be argued that digital
reading has sparked a renewed global interest in
books as a whole; these sales figures this week were for
print sales in time for Christmas gift giving, meaning
books are
enjoying a renewed status as gift items.

books are less expensive than
printed books especially if you
enjoy reading much and need to refresh your library from time to time.
Those who
read only on screen are also a third as likely to
enjoy reading (12 % compared to 51 %) and to have a favorite
book (just 59 % of children surveyed who
read on screen had one, compared to 77 % of kids who prefer to
read print books).
I thought I would also like
reading it in general because the quality of the
print and light are very good (helpful for my eyes...) But I am still more happy
reading a physical
book, turning the pages the old - fashioned way, and
enjoying the texture of binding, pages, etc..

books that won't evaporate on the orders of faceless bureaucrats, if they want their libraries to last, or the right to
read privately, or if they want the same ability to share or loan
books that they
enjoy with
printed books, they should avoid buying any
book that can't be copied or any e-
book reader with «remote deletion» features.
As technology advances and more
books move from hard - copy
print to electronic formats, people with
print disabilities have for the first time in history the opportunity to
enjoy access to
books on an equal basis with those who can
read print.
Device owners generally
enjoy reading for the same reasons as other readers, but sometimes are more likely to prefer e-
books to
print books for
reading in certain situations (and, surprisingly, vice-versa).
