Read this in hardcopy, and thoroughly
enjoyed this quirky family saga, with its roots set in
war time France.
Some people
enjoyed learning about the people and culture in Otuam, Ghana: It was refreshing to
read a story regarding Africa where the main theme was not about
war, violence, extreme poverty, child soldiers, and «just falling apart.»
I really
enjoy historical fiction, but have been
reading too many World
War II books lately (All the Light We Can not See, Nightingale - amazing
reads, but SO heavy) so this was a refreshing change.
I've also
enjoyed reading other Holocaust novels, including the Winds of
War and
War & Remembrance by Wouk.
In her time away from work, she
enjoys working on cars with her father,
reading, crocheting, camping, fishing, hiking, shooting at the range, cheering on the Detroit Lions, and immersing herself in the world of Star
Wars.
Kathleen spends her free time with her family and
enjoys training their dogs, going to the beach, playing tennis, bike riding, running and
reading about the Civil
War.
Very few people honestly care about little meaningless things like console
wars and what people
enjoy in their freetime, but the ones who do care flame - post it on the internet enough that it festers in the subconscious of those who
read it.

read National Review, agree with a lot of the articles,
enjoy the magazine, AND I'm concerned about the environment, oil dependency, alternate fuels, and the
war.
